Class booking

A class booking app your members use without asking you

Amble gives your gym a weekly timetable that members book and cancel from their phone. Classes are capped, a full class has a waitlist, members see when they can cancel for free, and they get a reminder before each class.

Your timetable

Set up recurring weekly classes once and Amble keeps four weeks of timetable ahead, in each location’s time zone. Add one-off classes, copy or edit a session, or cancel one, and everyone booked is refunded and emailed. Starter templates for different kinds of gym get you going quickly.

Class types

Each class type has a default length, capacity and credit cost, so a reformer class can cost more than a mat class, or a small-group session more than a large one.

Booking and cancelling

Members book from their phone until a class starts. Two people can’t take the last place at once; past capacity they join the waitlist. Each class shows when it stops being free to cancel, and cancelling in time returns the credit automatically.

Reminders and more than one location

Members get an email before their class and, if they switch notifications on, a push on the day. Run several locations with one member balance across all of them.

What it doesn’t do yet

  • There’s no booking window such as “bookings open 7 days before”. Classes can be booked as soon as they’re on the timetable.
  • Members book a place in a class, not a specific spot, bed or bike.

Questions studio owners ask

How far ahead can members book?

Amble keeps four weeks of your recurring timetable open, and members can book any of it.

Can I set when bookings open?

Not at the moment. A class can be booked as soon as it is on the timetable, until it starts.

Can members cancel themselves?

Yes. Inside your cancellation window their credit comes back automatically; after it, it doesn’t.

Can I run more than one location?

Yes, and members use one balance at all of them. The number of locations depends on your plan.

Do members get reminders?

Yes: an email before each class, and a push notification on the day if they have switched notifications on.
